Anomaly's Office in SL

Piers from PSFK wrote in to point out that Anomaly (an ad agency in NYC) has had an office in SL long before Leo and BBH. I went to check it out and here's a post card. Their offices are at Tinjin, on an island across from PSFK's office.

No surprise here. There's always some small outfit that's ahead of the game (pun intended). reBang may be the first Industrial Design firm in SL ( http://blog.rebang.com/?p=79 ), but I don't go off proclaiming it for the simple reason that someone else may be out there and I'd look as arrogant as LB and company.

1. Agencies have been creating and using MMO worlds since at least 1998.

2.have been ones in and OUT of SL before 2003.

3. Leo Burnett is playing the same game the SL bloggers are..Just maybe better. And besides, this illusion of "EVERYONES" now in SL and building/selling services is still not quite as it seems.

-----"Millions Of Us" built the Leo Burnett Project in SL...
So the Virtual World may not be as real as the blogs state.

When the first Leo Burnett top 10 client uses VR worlds to market in 24/7 and its an integrated media campaign, thatll be something worth blogging.

first law of virtual- its not
real.:)

Also the Linden Numbers are now public as to stats. Read them closely.

Enjoying the Web3DD Bubble.

"have been ones in and OUT of SL before 2003."

This is interesting. Could you elaborate? I thought SL went public in 2003.

Agree on the rest. SL is feeling more and more like the club everyone wants to be seen entering, but whether they can dance is still a big question. I'd like to actually conduct design reviews inside SL, but without a guarantee of privacy via a sim on a separate server, that's not likely to happen any time soon.
